How Do I Stop My Bathroom Walls From Sweating?

Do you ever wonder how come my bathroom walls are always soaked with sweat even in the summer season? My bathroom is one of the smallest rooms in the house. I try to keep it that way. I must say though, that I’m getting a little older and it seems like my body does not work as well as it used to.

It was actually very embarrassing when I was a teenager to have sweaty palms. I would constantly worry about my sweating problem and would search everywhere for possible ways on how to solve it. That’s how I got into my bathroom renovation phase. You too may need bathroom ideas to help you with your problem.

I was also a bit hesitant to get a renovation because of the amount of money I had to fork out. But you know what? Your bathroom will never be the same once you get all those new tiles and paints. What’s more, you can now design them in whatever theme or color that you desire.

My mother told me that she once did some renovation work in her own bathroom. She told me that when she tried to finish the renovation, she discovered that the walls had started to sweat when it was cold outside. How could that happen? The renovation was supposed to be done during spring time. But somehow, it became colder in there than before.

My next question then was; why is this happening to me? How can my bathroom become so humid without me knowing it? I went online and looked for answers to these questions. The answer was quite interesting. Apparently, humidity is caused by the presence of too much heat inside our homes. Without proper venting, the warm air from the kitchen would accumulate on the walls and it would make the room humid.

How can I prevent this from happening? I would need to buy a dehumidifier. This device would suck out the excess humidity inside the bathroom and keep the room cool. There are actually many kinds of dehumidifiers available in the market. So, you have plenty of choices.

Another thing that I would do is to seal the area. Why? Well, you see, the walls become moist when they get wet. Water can seep into the cracks and crevices and that would cause problems in the long run. If you have inadequate ventilation, then moisture would seep into the cracks and crevices of your bathroom walls. This would cause mold and mildew to grow.

In order to control excessive sweating in your bathroom, the first thing that you should do is to clean your bathroom. Keep your walls dry and clean. If you want to know how do I stop my bathroom walls from sweating, then you should choose the best dehumidifier and install it in your bathroom. Also, make sure that the surrounding areas such as the windows and doors do not have excessive moisture.

Now, let us move on to eliminating the root cause of your problem. The root cause is, of course, the food and drink that you consume every day. You should avoid drinking beverages that contain caffeine and alcohol as they will only serve to speed up your metabolism and make you sweat more. Instead, drink plenty of water and other natural water-based drinks. These would contain more nutrients and minerals that are good for you and that would help to eliminate toxins from your body and reduce excess water retention.

Other than these, you should also spend more time in the sauna. Sauna sessions, whether individually or with a group, would help eliminate unwanted toxins that might be acting up in your body and trigger off episodes of sweating. If you are too shy to join a sauna session, then just make use of a steam bath. Boil some water and soak yourself in it for at least 15 minutes.

Other than this, you should also be taking small amounts of vitamin B and zinc supplements daily. These vitamins are known to have calming and soothing effects and so they would aid in reducing the stress and anxiety that are a contributing factor to your bathroom sweat problems. You should also consider reducing your sodium consumption. Sodium causes water retention and so it would help if you did not consume as much of this substance in your meals.

How do I stop my bathroom walls from sweating? There is no quick fix to this problem. However, there are ways and means that would help you to manage this problem. First of all, try and avoid eating spicy foods and beverages like coffee, colas and chocolates. Secondly, get into the habit of drinking lots of water and other fluids throughout the day. This would help to flush out the toxins from your body and prevent them from building up to where they can spur off embarrassing episodes of sweating.
